Scannable. This is a great way to scan documents without having to always ask the question, “can you send me an electronic version of that?”. You simply put the document on a table, open the app to scan and it does the rest. Once you have it you can either email or text it to someone else. It’s a very useful app for me and the fact that Evernote made it gives it even more clout to me. Printer Pro. For some reason the regular iPhone “printer” finder never lets me print. So I had to find one that would. Printer Pro is an awesome tool that you can use from your phone or tablet. It connect wireless to your wirelessly enabled printer with amazing results. I can print photos, pdfs, word documents or basically anything else you would want to print from a laptop or desktop. This saves you time and effort to print a document you have on your phone. Podcasts and Feedly. These are 2 but I combined them into 1 because they enable you to do the same thing – LEARN! As ministers we always have to be learning and these provide great ways to do that…for free! Find blogs or podcasts from ministry leaders who inspire and challenge you in ministry. One rule of thumb for subscribing to podcasts and blogs is that if someone hasn’t posted in a month, then they probably aren’t very active. So don’t follow them as regularly. Follow and subscribe to those who are posting at least once a week. So there you have it. Three (I guess technically 4) apps that every minister should have (or something similar) that are practical and helpful in their everyday “ministry” life. What about you? What practical apps do you have on your phone or tablet that you use regularly? Share your ideas below or on social media using #ymsidekick. [mc4wp_form id="8855"] ]]>
