What are those 4 summer pieces of content your Church can share?

  1. summerPost Summer themed questions. Each season of the year presents unique posts and questions you can make on social media. Use the summer to ask questions like, “where is your favorite ice cream shop” or “what beach do you prefer to go to”. If you don’t have a beach near by, “what is your favorite lake or pool to go to”. Use holiday and celebrations as opportunities to ask questions as well.
  2. Special events in your community. That’s right, even if it is not Church related, there are lots of fun family centric events happening in the community this summer. Share about them and even encourage a group of people to meet up at those events to experience it together.
  3. Summer Bible Study Plan. Think of it like a summer book club. Encourage people to participated in a shared Bible Study. It could be done through YouVersion, your website or even posted daily on social media. It’s a great way to encourage people in their faith over the summer.
  4. Photo or Caption Contest. This could actually be 4 and 5, but they are similar. Encourage people to post pictures of what they are doing or how they are celebrating the summer. But also, encourage people to play along in a caption contest. Post a picture and encourage people to caption it. This usually gets a lot of great responses.

Each season of the year provides unique opportunities for your Church or ministry to post on social media. The summer is no different. Above are 4 ideas, but there is much, much more. Be creative and be unique to your area. The more engaging and interactive you can be, the more you can hopefully reach your community and begin spiritual conversations that lead to life change.
