A Great Ministry Tool for Trips

The ministry tool that has been really effective for my ministry to connect with students during trips is the Nintendo Switch. Why?

  • Portable. Other game systems are bigger, heavier and bulkier than the Switch. The Switch is something you can easily put into a backpack and be done with it.
  • Cheap. Compared to other game systems, you can get the regular Switch for under $300 and the Switch Lite for under $200.
  • Family friendly. Xbox and Playstation have a lot more popular games amongst teens but the Switch has a lot of family friendly games that people of all skill levels can play. That is what makes it so great – anyone can play the switch.
  • Community. The Nintendo Switch helps to build community. Because so many people can play Switch and it is fun, it draws people in and allows community to develop amongst the teams. And building community is such a foundational element that helps make trips great and can help you build  momentum in your student ministry from that trip on.
