The Why and How to Boost a Facebook Post for your Ministry

But, most of the people are on Facebook and so in order to reach them you have to do Ads.  But how do you know what posts to boost (place ads on) and which ones to not? Here are 3 Questions I always ask when deciding whether or not to boost a post on Facebook:

  1. Why boost this post? What is it about this specific post that you want to promote? If it communicates what your ministry is all about and you are able to give a clear call to action from it, I would boost it.  If it doesn’t draw interest about your ministry then I would shy away from boosting it.
  2. Who is the target?  The more specific you can get about a target audience the more effective your post boost will be.
  3. What much money will to spend?  The great thing about Facebook Ads is that you can spend a small amount of money and with a refined target audience, you can have a good impact. So you can spend as little as $5 and have great engagement.
When you answer those 3 questions, you will be able to determine whether your post is boost worthy. But after you decide whether or not to boost a post on Facebook, how do you do it?  How do you actually boost your post? Here is a tutorial on that:     So there you have it. 3 questions to ask and a quick tutorial on how to actually boost your posts on Facebook.  They may not be the only 3 questions to ask but they are the bare minimum to ask in your determination.
