Be apart of Summer Ministry Vlog Week 2019

What is the Summer Ministry Vlog week all about? In the summer of 2016 I started the first ever Summer Ministry Vlog Week (#SMVW16) where I invited a few of my ministry friends and bloggers to get behind the camera to communicate their message in video. Each blogger focused on a different topic and brought their unique insights to the camera to share it with everyone. It was a great experiement and it was fun to see what others turned out. Because of that, we did a 2017 edition as well. While we skipped last summer, I did do a Winter Ministry Vlog Week in 2018 and NOW, I’m brining it back for 2019 and want you involved! How can you Participate? To join in on the fun all you have to do is….

  • Pick something to share. This could be any ministry tip or something you want to communicate to those you are ministering to. You can see examples below but it could be a tip you teach volunteers, or a lesson on how to do a Bible study or a “how to” tutorial on something you want people to learn.
  • Sign up so we know you are participating and we can check out your content. Sign up here.
  • Grab your phone or camera, record the tip, and then edit it. Try to keep your vlog around 3-5 minutes. You can go longer if you want, but remember, it is just like giving a message. You want to hook people initially and keep their interest throughout. I have personally found shorter videos work well for that.
  • Post it. Since this is your vlog, first post it on your website and/or your YouTube channel so people can keep coming back to your site after they’ve watched your video.
  • Share it. After you’ve done all of the above, go on your Social Network using the hashtag #SMVWeek19 and/or Digital Bootcamp between August 12-16.
Examples of Vlogs Here are some examples of vlogs that others and I have done that you can use as examples: There are just some examples of the many out there from other vloggers. While blogging and images are still great ways to share content, video and audio content have become increasingly popular. That is why I started podcasting and vlogging a few years ago and both forms have gone a really long way to help me reach more people for Christ. So that is why we are doing the Summer Ministry Vlog Week August 12th – 16th. Don’t let excuses or any hesitation prevent you from participating and experimenting with video content. What will you be blogging about during #SMVWeek19? Sign up here and share what you will be doing.  [mc4wp_form id="8855"]
