Orange Conference 2016 edition is just over 2 months away! One of the largest Family Ministry conference in the world – if not the largest – is getting ready to put on quite a show! I have personally been there 3 times, but I did not make it to last year’s conference. So, I’m very excited about headed back to Atlanta this year. Whether you have been there in years past or not, there are so many great things to look forward to. Here are just some of the things you can look forward to at this year’s Orange Conference.
- Networking with other like-minded leaders. With thousands of children, student and family ministers around seeking to do ministry better, you are going to run into and have tons of great conversations with others who are in the trenches just like you. And when those conversations happen, people learn and grow.
- Exceptional Speakers and Teachers. Orange always has a great number of pastors and speakers that inspire and challenge the volunteers and paid staffers there how to do ministry better. This year you’ll hear from the likes of Reggie Joiner, Doug Fields, Kara Powell, Sue Miller, Perry Noble, Jon Acuff, and many more! You will leave inspired beyond words as they teach and share.
- The fun. At conferences there are always plenty of opportunities to network and learn. But what Orange does so well is mixing the fun in with the learning. They know how to have fun because they are or were one of us…children, family and student ministers. And you know all of us know how to have fun. 🙂 So, there will be fun…and lots of it!
- The Theme. This year’s theme is entitled, “EVERY WEEK MONDAY IS COMING”. The reason why I get excited about this years conference is because the focus is about making the most out of what we do during the week. Without the work we do during the week, Sunday doesn’t matter. So the theme is shaping up to provide a ton of great content for all of us to take back and apply to our area of ministries.
